Frank Fee
Inducted 2010

After graduating from Brown Institute in Minneapolis, Frank Fee would make his home and his livelihood for the next thirty-eight years in the Red River Valley town of Crookston, Minnesota.  As general manager and then partner in KROX Radio, Frank Fee took sole ownership of this Minnesota station in 1991.

Starting out in the 1970s as a 6 P.M. to midnight announcer, Frank babysat the transmitter and worked as the janitor at the station.  He progressed to sports announcer, which he still does to this day, estimating that he has broadcast more than 4,000 sporting events in his time.  Heavily involved in civic activities, Frank has been president of the Crookston Chamber of Commerce, chair of his church executive committee, and recipient of many awards including Crookston High School Athletic Booster of the Year and the University of Minnesota-Crookston Torch and Shield Award.  He also serves as a member of the Crookston School Board and Region 8A State High School League, and in 2009 he was inducted into the University of Minnesota-Crookston Athletic Hall of Fame.  Frank Fee and KROX are the pure definition of community in this northwestern Minnesota town.
